Future options After achieving a Level 3 Extended Diploma, you may go on to a degree level course in woodland conservation, woodland management or forestry recreation. Alternatively, you may progress onto employment as a tree surgeon, groundsman, tree inspector, woodland surveyor, arboriculture officer, environmental woodland manager, production arborist or estate worker. Course includes This two-year course will show you broader aspects of forestry including urban forestry, recreation and applied tree science. Your extensive knowledge of applied tree science will assist you in advanced tree felling, the diagnosis and treatment of tree diseases as well as tree climbing and aerial pruning. You will learn a wide range of practical arboriculture skills.
