Future options After achieving Level 1 you can progress to Level 2 full-time, an apprenticeship or work in the industry as a trainee or multi-skilled trader/labourer. Course includes You will take part in a wide of range of trade training that will help you to master the building maintenance industry. Your course will include painting and decorating, plastering and plumbing, bricklaying, tiling and carpentry. These areas will provide you with a firm understanding of the basics of maintenance operations as well as safe handling and storage of construction materials and equipment. Course Title Location Property Maintenance Operative Apprenticeship Standard Moulton Apprenticeships in Building Maintenance Operations Apprentices in Building Maintenance Occupations will have a permanent job in the sector and will combine work and college-based training. At college, you’ll learn theory and develop your practical skills which will then be monitored to establish your competence within your workplace. Once your tutor and employer believe you are fully competent you will be assessed against an external set of standards to achieve your apprenticeship. You will attend college on a day release basis and these frameworks usually take two years to complete. The intermediate apprenticeship is ideal if you are just starting a career in a maintenance role working across a range of trades.
