The programme is closely linked to industry, providing the best possible opportunities to develop the skills necessary to launch a successful career within this sector. As a student on the Construction Management pathway, you will have access to a range of facilities including computers loaded with industry standard design software to enable you to work to the appropriate professional requirements. You will also have access to over 460 hectares of the College estate in which to develop a range of practical surveying skills. The contemporary Learning Resource Centre houses all the necessary resources required to enable you to be successful on your course. These resources include a wide range of both physical and electronic books, journals, magazines, and computer aided software design packages. You will be required to complete work-related experience by working alongside the College’s Building and Resource Management team and also through off-site work placements. How will I learn? Our lecturers are all specialists within the construction industry and have a wealth of real-life experience from working within the sector. You will be supported to achieve your best through staff setting you targets and maintaining high expectations within a supportive teaching and learning environment. You will experience a combination of practical and theoretical learning with ongoing assessment occurring throughout your course. Maths and English All students who have not achieved a grade C or 4-5 in GCSE English or Maths are required to complete a tailored study programme to develop these skills. All lessons embed English and maths skills, ensuring that all students that study at Moulton College are able to apply these transferable skills to any given role. Future options Successful completion of this course enables you to progress into employment as a trainee construction site manager or to continue your studies at college or university. Course includes This course is designed to give you a solid understanding of civil engineering, property law and construction technologies. You will develop your knowledge in surveying as well as computer aided design and planning. The course will show you how to create sustainable builds using advanced science and construction techniques from our expert lecturers.
