Future options Successful completion of this course enables you to progress into employment as a trainee construction site manager or to continue your studies at college or university. Course includes This two-year course will give you an advanced understanding of property law, construction, surveying, planning and the design of builds across a wide range of technologies. You will put your skills to the test as you explore building regulations and law, structural mechanics and civil engineering as well as advanced surveying techniques. You will be able to follow a build from the design process to the surveying and building of the project, all the way to completion of a legal and sustainable build. At college, you’ll learn technical skills and understanding of the construction industry which will then be assessed to establish your competence within your workplace. You will attend college on a day release basis and these frameworks take between two and three years to complete. The advanced apprenticeship is ideal if you are just starting a technical or professional career and the higher apprenticeship is designed to allow you to move towards a higher level or management role.
