The provision will focus on an exciting mix of knowledge and skills development, with employability at the core of teaching and learning. You will have access to an exciting range of specialist resources at the College. Our Equine Centre includes a 60m x 40m indoor arena with gallery seating, an outdoor arena and a cross country training paddock. There is stabling for up to 60 horses, a horse walker and a mechanical horse. You may bring your own horse on a number of livery options including DIY and Working Livery. Our state-of-the-art Equine Therapy Centre includes an equine hydrotherapy pool, water treadmill, cold water spa and a solarium. You will complete work experience in the Equine Centre and also through off-site placements as part of Level 1, 2 and 3 programmes. You will also have access to outstanding study resources, including a science laboratory and a Learning Resource Centre, providing you with everything you need to set you on your career path. How will I learn? Our lecturers are all specialists in the sector and have up-to-date experience working in all areas of equine including equine behaviour, therapy and equine centre management. They will guide you to achieve your targets by setting high expectations in a supportive teaching and learning environment by highly qualified staff, guest speakers, lecturer demos and study tours. Expect to study an exciting combination of theory and practical, with ongoing assessment throughout your course. Maths and English All students who have not achieved a grade C or 4-5 in GCSE English or maths are required to complete a tailored study programme to develop those skills. All lessons embed English and maths skills, ensuring that all students that study at Moulton College are able to apply these transferable skills to any given role.
