The Learning Hub is supporting a food bank collection for people in need in the run up to Christmas.

We will begin our food bank collections on Monday 14 Nov 2022 and this will run for 2 weeks.

Your generous donations will be distributed to Food Banks around the county.

Collection boxes will be posted at various locations around the college:

Learning Hub – Help desk upstairs ( staff, Cheryl, Jane or Emma)

Rural Hub – Farm Offices (staff, Lianne Sinfield)

Pitsford- Reception ( staff, Charlotte Barrett)

 if you are able to support this appeal we need the following food and groceries :

UHT Milk

Tinned Fish

Tinned vegetables

Tinned fruit

Tinned meat

Pasta /curry sauces

Small jars instant coffee (100g)

Toiletries – Loo rolls, deodorant, shampoo, soap

Baby- wipes, shampoo, toothbrushes, baby toothpaste

NO Fresh food

NO food or drink containing alcohol

 The Trussell Trust Stats

Between 1 April 2021 and 31 March 2022, food banks in the Trussell Trust’s UK wide network distributed over 2.1 million emergency food parcels to people in crisis. This is an increase of 14% compared to the same period in 2019/20. 832,000 of these parcels went to children. Compare this to 5 years ago the need for food banks has increased by 81%
