Two sports halls, a biomechanics laboratory, a strength and conditioning suite, a swimming pool, an injury and rehabilitation centre, a new athletics track and a number of grass and artificial playing surfaces are amongst some of the facilities that you will get to use as a Sports Studies student of the College. Your course of choice may also provide the opportunity for you to develop your skills with one of our external practical providers such as Northamptonshire County Cricket Club, Northamptonshire County Golf Club, The Pinnacle Climbing Centre and the Snozone. Academic study will be supplemented with real- life, hands-on, work-related experience within the sports industry. Your skills will also be developed through an extensive enrichment programme including national sports competitions, guest speakers and a range of trips and visits. How will I learn? An inspirational teaching team including professional coaches, instructors, a strength and conditioning coach and access to our sports physiotherapist create a supportive and challenging environment to allow you to achieve your targets. Expect ongoing assessment throughout the year, with interactive practical and classroom based study. Maths and English All students who have not achieved a grade C or 4-5 in GCSE English or maths are required to complete a tailored study programme to develop these skills. All lessons embed English and maths skills, ensuring that all students that study at Moulton College are able to apply these transferable skills to any given role.
